Nestling on a quiet street, near the Queen’s Park neighbourhood of the royal city of New Westminster, sits this beautiful heritage home. The house was built, when the Glenbrook North neighbourhood was still largely rural, in 1912 by James C. Walmsley, a member of a prominent New Westminster family. Major renovations and extension were carried out in 2007 but the house maintains it’s period elegance while benefitting from modern convenience. The house featured in the 36th Annual New Westminster Heritage Homes tour, 2015.
Named after the daughters of the Duke and Duchess of York, the Beatrice and Eugenie suites are luxuriously appointed where you can be assured of a peaceful nights sleep. Whilst both these suites are on the lower ground floor, the 8 foot ceilings give little hint of this.
Both suites can have access to the garden and patio for our long summer evenings, or to our parlour for the colder winter nights.
We are conveniently located 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver and close to transit.
A 5 minute leisurely stroll will find you in up town New Westminster for a variety of restaurants and shopping, or in Queens Park where you can wander through the streets lined with more fine heritage houses.
